Union Bank Donates in honor of Jun and Ree Kaneko

Union Bank made a donation to Phoenix Academy in honor of Jun and Ree Kaneko, 2012 inductees into the Omaha Business Hall of Fame.  Jun & Ree received the award at the Chamber Business Hall of Fame Gala.  Jun Kaneko was born in Nagoya, Japan in 1942, moved to Los Angeles in 1963 and has lived in Omaha since 1986 (www.junkaneko.com).  While in Omaha he has progressively renovated a complex of seven warehouses into ceramics, painting and design studios. In 2000 he and his wife Ree  formed a non-profit scholarly and presenting organization in Omaha called KANEKO dedicated to the exploration of creativity in the arts, sciences and philosophy.  Congratulations Jun and Ree Kaneko!  Thank you Union Bank.
