Thanks to the generous donors who supported Phoenix Academy through Omaha Gives 2014, all of our classrooms received an amazing upgrade. With the money received we purchased new white boards, short throw projectors and wireless document cameras for the classrooms. These were much needed improvements and the teachers and students are enjoying them. The video below shows our young students participating in a one minute brain break!
The teachers use the document cameras and/or the projectors everyday. The ease of projecting paper or books from the document camera allows the teachers to directly instruct the students and gives them more time for individual attention when needed. The projectors link to our Chromebooks and the teachers are able to share their screens on the new whiteboards. The uses are endless and open up so many options to our staff and students!
With donations and bonus funds Phoenix Academy received $47,175.75 from Omaha Gives 2014. This year we are raising money for our scholarship program. Omaha Gives 2015 takes place May 20th. Your 100% tax deductible donations are much appreciated.
