Michelle was born in Lakenheath, England, but raised in Bellevue, NE. After high school, she attended the University of Nebraska-Omaha where she majored in Education with a Language Arts endorsement. She couldn’t wait to graduate and start teaching! This school year marks her 12th year teaching at Phoenix Academy. She enjoys reading, writing, being outdoors, and spending time with her family. She has two daughters: Caroline, who is in third grade, and Claire, who is in Kindergarten. Her husband is a member of the Supplier Diversity team at Union Pacific Railroad. They share their home with their two dogs (Ace and Bonnie), their gerbil (Teddy, who will spend the school year in our classroom), and their turtle (Cash).
