Sheila developed the art program with Nancy Liebermann’s guidance at Phoenix Academy ten years ago to fulfill the students’ need for artistic expression. With a background in art and psychology at Creighton University and the desire to work with students, she loves sharing her time and talents with the children. She’ll be the first to say that she has learned so much as well! Her artistic passions are mostly in floral art and painting. She loves to see the students love to do art of any kind and communicate through their art. She’s currently looking at pursuing a Masters in Art Therapy to be of more assistance to the students’ needs.
She loves to take nature hikes with her dog, visit with friends, forage flowers and design them, read, garden, draw, embroider, eat ice cream, watch movies, yoga/pilates, cook healthy food, and listen to music, just to name a few!
